I have a simple table that shows company names and how much we hold of that company currently - so we hold 10% of company x as of 28th June 2024. I then want another visualisation next to this that shows how our holding has chanegd over time, so we held 6% in April, 7% in May. When I click on a name in the table, I want it to filter on the line chart, but when I click on a name it automatically filters the line chart by name AND date, showing only the value on the 28th June, how do I get the line chart to only be filtered by name and not date?

@Craigja123 OK, tried to recreate this but could not. So something is different between your model/setup and mine. See PBIX attached below signature.
I see what you did now - you created a calculated field showing the latest holding - that means you then dont need to put a date filter on the table vis, so the line chart then works as it should (since it also doesnt then have a date filter applied)

I see why yours is different (I think!) I have 2 datasets that have a relationship. The Company/Stock name is not in my holdings dataset, it has a stock code that I join to the stock dataset, could that be the source of the issue? I dont see what you are doing with the date on the left table - it shows earliest date but I dont see you filtering the date in the filters tab? Also, you show the earliest date but the holding amount seems to be the last holding amount. on 1st April Company A is 0.06 but the table shows the June holding of 0.1
