Comparing Two Dates

I have two columns LDate and NDate, in my table. I fixed the format as "MM-DD-YYYY" for both columns. Using the formula below to find out whether the employee joined recently. However, the result shows an incorrect value in the New Hire column. Please help to fix the issue.

New Hire = if('Individual Development Plan FY24'[LDate]>='Individual Development Plan FY24'[NDate], True, False)

use YYYY-MM-DD   or ISO8601 format, or - better - convert the column type to Date.
