Compare values of two tables and update the date of changes
Hi teams,
I have 2 tables: one is the original table and the other one if a copy table from the original table. With the copy version, I can make changes in this table. Now, I want to compare values of 2 tables to see the update.
If there are differences between 2 tables (there're updates) => THEN I want to update the date that people made changes.
If there are no differences (no updates) => THEN I do nothing with it.
I'd like to have step by step instructions since I'm very new with Power BI.
Thank you

Hi @Anonymous
You could get refresh time to show on the report as this blog suggested.
https://www.kasperonbi.com/show-the-refresh-datetime-in-a-power-bi-report-and-dashboard/
it changes once the report refreshes.
As tested, in Edit queries, you could add an index column from 1 in the original table,
select "duplicates" for the original table to copy that table,
then uncheck "include in report refresh" for the original table.
Close&&apply,
create a relationship one-many/one-one between two tables based on "Index" column,
then click on "refresh" button,
you will find "index" column from "copy table" increase, but "index" column from "original table" remains the previous one.
However, I can't find a way to check if the refresh doesn't update new data from data source.
Maggie
