Common chart for data from 2 different tables

Hi All,

I have sales data at different LEVELS in 2 different tables.

Example:  STATE level data in FCT_STATE and CITY level data in FCT_CITY table.

My requirement:

Add 2 slicers STATE and CITY with only one LINE CHART. when a user selects STATE slicer, chart should show data from FCT_STATE table and when user selects CITY slicer , same chart should pull data from FCT_CITY table.

is this possible?

thanks

Yes, the specifics however are going to vary depending on your exact scenario. Please see this post regarding How to Get Your Question Answered Quickly: https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Community-Blog/How-to-Get-Your-Question-Answered-Quickly/ba-p/38490.

Details, like whether or not you have a relationship between the tables, matter. Now, that being said, the first thing you will need is a way to determine if State or City is filtered essentially. You could use something like ISFILTERED. See attached simple example and hopefully it will get you there (Page 3). If not, try to add some specifics to your request. Another potential solution is through the use of bookmarks, but as I said, depends on your particular details.
