Combine data in a table from two separate azure database
Hello Forum,
This is the first time I am working on something very complecated rlated to Azure Database. Till now I have import data from a database in azure and create dashboard from it. But now the complecation is to the next level and need help.
I have two separate database in azure; one is containing "Unique IDs" and the 2nd one is containing data related to those IDs. Now my task is; take each "Unique IDs" from first database, search in the second database and create a new table with unique ids and related data.
What could be done in such scenario?
Regards
Utsav
Hey utsavlexmark, I would explore -> https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/azure-sql/database/elastic-query-overview?view=azuresql
The elastic query feature (in preview) enables you to run a Transact-SQL (T-SQL) query that spans multiple databases in Azure SQL Database. It allows you to perform cross-database queries to access remote tables, and to connect Microsoft and third-party tools (Excel, Power BI, Tableau, etc.) to query across data tiers with multiple databases. Using this feature, you can scale out queries to large data tiers and visualize the results in business intelligence (BI) reports.
If this helped, please feel free to mark it as a solution and give a thumb up 👍
