ComScore REST API get web data - issue with |

Hi

I am using Comscore Rest API (documentation is here ) and I am using Parameters in the URL string.

https://dax-rest.comscore.eu/v1/reportitems.xml?client=name&user=john&password=secret&itemid=69&site...parameters=key1:value1|key3:value3

My problem: the query works fine in a browser but doesnt work in Power BI. I have identified the issue, it seems to be that Power BI Desktop doesnt deal with " | "  and with " * " . 

I have tried to encode / decode the | into %7C%0A but didnt work either.
