Column Chart, How best to emphasise specific Column in the chart (Current year)
We have a flag set to show the past 3 months and those three months last year
The column Values show the Fact we are working with
Then we have a Column Series to split up the fact
And she Shared Axis is Month year from the date table
I have a flag for the previous 3 months. Is there any way I can make the year 2020 stand out
Either by Changing the Axis titles to bold or changing the colour
Or Changing the colour of the bar for that year
Basically any ideas to help the 2020 column stan out against the 2019 columns would be really helpful

Hi DebbieE ,
Based on my test, it is not supported in column chart currently. You can come up with a new idea and add your comments there to make this feature coming sooner.

DebbieE , we have conditional formatting, but that will only work if you have not used legend.
Check if you can see the option of conditional formatting in series color, If yes. Create a measure like this one
Color Date = if(year(FIRSTNONBLANK('Date'[Date],TODAY())) =year(today()),"lightgreen","red")
Please use the axis of the chart in this formula
and then use Field option in conditional formatting

“we have conditional formatting, but that will only work if you have not used legend. “
As above I have used legend, this is why thecolumns are split so I don’t think this will work for me
"Check if you can see the option of conditional formatting in series color, If yes. Create a measure like this one Color Date = if(year(FIRSTNONBLANK('Date'[Date],TODAY())) =year(today()),"lightgreen","red")"
I only have Data Colours for the Legend
It looks like this wont work for me. Are there any other options I can use, bearing in mind the visual above, I have split the column by the Column series
