Classroom utilization report
Hello everyone,
I am trying to set up a classroom utilization report. So far I have managed to see the percentage of time that the classes are used (i.e. what percentage of a day or a week the classroom is used). Now, I am trying to see what percentage of the total spaces are being used at any given time.
I set up my table [1]with the CLASS, DATE, TIME, and then one column per hour. Each column is either a 0 or a 1, depending on whther or not that particular class is used at that date and time.
I have a separate table [2] that groups dates together and sums up all the 1s for a date/time combination. For example I can see that 14 classes are occupied at 8:00 AM on Sept. 7th.
I want to be able to create a report with a slicer for dates that gives what percentage of classes are occupied over any given range of dates. If I divide the 8:00 column in table [2] by the total number of classes, I will only get a percentage that reflects 1 day. I need something that is capable of doing it over a range of dates.
Any help would be appreciated.
Best,
Lenny

@Lennyciotti Sorry, having trouble following, can you post sample data as text and expected output?
Not really enough information to go on, please first check if your issue is a common issue listed here: https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Community-Blog/Before-You-Post-Read-This/ba-p/1116882

The most important parts are:
1. Sample data as text, use the table tool in the editing bar
2. Expected output from sample data
3. Explanation in words of how to get from 1. to 2.
