Circular Dependency

When I tried to remove/delete a table from the model that I had build, I am getting the below error:

Failed to save modifications to the server. Error returned: 'A circular dependency was detected: ABCD[a_data], ABCD[b_data], ABCD[a_data].

Can anyone help me or guide me on how to reoslve this issue.

Regards

KR

Hi @Anonymous ,

Whenever two objects refer to each other, a circular dependency is detected so that Power BI cannot handle the object.

When you delete a table from the model, do the remaining tables form a closed-loop relationship? If this is the case, this error may also be reported because Power BI does not allow closed-loop relationships.

Or ABCD[a_data] and ABCD[b_data] are calculated columns and refer to each other?

Best regards,
Lionel Chen

Are you able to remove the ABCD[b_data] column and save the changes?
