Charts not loading

Hi

Charts are not loading in dashboard even when there is data in the backend database.

The data is stored in an SQL server and the tables are all properly created there. Also, i can see the data in the query editor window of the powerbi. But still none of the charts are populating. It shows blank for all.

What could be the reasons for that? Can someone help resolve this?

Prakhar

  • Hi prakharkasliwal

Would be easier to debug if you can share your PBIX file.  Even if there's data in the query editor that doesn't mean anything will be displayed in a visual.

Did you have visuals that are now not showing?

What data have you selected to display in a visual?

  • prakharkasliwal , Very difficult to tell with this. There can filter on-page or report or visual.  Power query changes are not saved and there can be an error

Can you share sample data and sample output in table format? Or a sample pbix after removing sensitive data.

    Hi, prakharkasliwal

What’s your connection mode to SqlServer(Direct query or import)? You said that the dashboard can not load data, can you see the data when you go to the original report? According to the data source is SQL Server. I suggest you to use SQL Server Profiler to explore whether there is data interaction between the dashboard and the data source. If you can not you can't do it yourself, you can share your sample pbix file and SQL Server data source file(without sensitive data) so that we can help you in advance. Thanks very much!
