Hi, I am connecting Direct Query to Databricks SQL Endpoint from PowerBI.
Now when I connect vis Sql server, I can change the Data Srouce - Data Source Settings - Change Source - so I can re-point the report to sql Quality to Pre-prod
But that option is Greyed out when I try to do it for Databricks SQL Endpoint. Any other way pls.
I also checked the option of Downloading the .PBID connection file, but when I try to open that - it always opens a fresh file in desktop.
Please help. Otherwise, I will need to end up doing all Modelling again for each SQL Endpoint.
Kind regards
Krishna
Hi @Anonymous ,
I advise that you create a parameter where you define the acces information for the databricks and then you can change the different enviroments using that parameter.

Check out my blog: Power BI em PortuguêsHi @MFelix Thanks for your interest, any blogs on how to go about pls. I did parameters for SQL Server Server and DB so I can pick and choose which one to point to. But in DBX am not getting that option to choose from Parameters. Pls is there any MSFT documentation specific to DBX connection Parameterization - Many thanks
Hi @Anonymous ,
Has you refer the option to have parameters on the Databricks is not available directly but you can create the parameters with the options in this case the Server Name and the HTTP path, and then enter on the Advance Editor and replace the values that is text by the parameter name.
You would have in the first stepd something similar to this:
= Databricks.Query (Parameter1, Parameter2)

Check out my blog: Power BI em PortuguêsAs per the documentation, Databricks.Query does not support DirectQuery mode. Do you know any other way we can change the databricks connection details?
