Change formatted text box based on slicer selection

Hi - I'm looking for help with how to setup formatted text box (with multiple paragraphs of text) that changes content based on slicer selection. i.e. A user selects a category from the dropdown list - the text box updates with the blurb related to that category.

Thanks for any suggestions,

Sean

Hey,

currently this is not possible at the moment, as a textbox does not support "dynamic" text.

You can achieve what you want, by using a card visual.

Maybe it will be necessary to create a measure that contains the "blurb" of the category selected in the slicer and to avoid clutter if no category is selected. Just add the measure to value property of the card visual.

If you need more assistance, please create a power bi file that contains sample data and represents your data model, upload the file to onedrieve or dropbox and share the link.

Regards,

Tom
