Hello!
Got a notice that the Card Browser visual (CardBrowser8D7CFFDA2E7E400C9474F41B9EDBBA58) is being deprecated. This is quite sad, as we use it extensively in our survey response dashboards. I have been unable to find information on when they plan to fully remove it/when it will break (no help from Copilot either). I also have not found any suitable replacements.
I'm sure I can make something similar in Power Apps, but this requires extra licensing for the embed. So, my two questions are: has there been any notice I've missed regarding the deprecation or, better yet, a timeline on how they plan to do so? Do you guys have any suggestions on what the best visuals would be for displaying thousands of comments cleanly?
Thank you!

Hi @Jjpsq ,
Thanks for reaching out to the Microsoft fabric community forum.
I have tried to look up any information related to timeline of card browser depreciation, but seems like they have not yet published the exact dates yet.
Regarding your question on any alternates for card browser please check out these visuals and check if they are suitable for your needs:
1) Shielded HTML Viewer:
Visualize your HTML formatted content to add valuable context to your figures.

2) HTML VizCreator Flex by BI Samurai:
This visual can be used for nearly anything and can be the solution for many things you can't do with the Power BI core visuals.

4) Document Viewer:

5) Deneb: Declarative Visualization in Power BI

6) Power BI Visual Editor

I hope this information helps. Please do let us know if you have any further queries.
Thank you
Card Browser is one of my favourite non-default visuals and we use it a lot. Being published by Microsoft we assumed it was safe to use in our long-term projects and extremely annoyed that it's getting the chop as there is nothing like it out there.
If anyone from MS is reading this, is there no way it can be updated? Also, what else could be for the chop?

Yeah, I just saw the message too. I don't use the Card Browser much but it's really helpful when I do.
I found a different visual in the store called "Multi Info Cards" that seems similar, just not quite as feature rich.
Hi @Jjpsq
May I check if this issue has been resolved? If not, Please feel free to contact us if you have any further questions.
Thank you

I agree with everything you've said here! I also use this a lot for visualising verbatim survey comments. It does seem odd this is being deprecated without there being something useful to replace it with. Will keep an eye on this thread in case someone has any good suggestions of what to replace it with!
@Jjpsq Any chance you can share the notice you received? I wonder if it will actually stop working in the Service.
Sure! There's a little yellow warning symbol next to the filter icon whenever I hover over the visual. Clicking the hover gives me this:
@Jjpsq Very interesting. It is not mentioned on the AppSource page: Card Browser. I did confirm this though by loading the Card Browser visual into a Power BI report and got the same message. I do not know of any replacement for it that has the same functionality. It's too bad, that is probably one of the most beIoved of the "extra" Microsoft custom visuals.
