Cannot Connect to SQL Database

Hi all,

I setup SQL Server Express 2014 and attached Northwind and pubs databases.

However, when I try to connect to pubs from Power BI I receive an error:

Details: "Microsoft SQL: A connection was successfully established with the server, but then an error occurred during the login process. (provider: SSL Provider, error: 0 - The certificate chain was issued by an authority that is not trusted.)"

How can I configure so I can beyond the error message?

In a separate instance, I am running SQL Server 2017 Developer with AdventureWorks and WideWorldImporters attached. I am able to connect to both of these databases through Power BI

thanks

-w

Have you tried clearing Global Permissions?

Thanks Watsky,

I tried...

Edit Queries >> Data source settings

I selected the SQLServerExpress Instance, and clicked on Clear Permissions and I steed through the dialog's again to get access to the databases attached to the server. It worked this time, although I am not sure what I did the first time through to cause the error?

At least resolved - thanks!

It may not have been anything on your end. It may have been something changed on the server end.
