I have a report inside Power BI which is connected to 4 API endpoints:-
Now currently i have 2 pages which use the same API endpoint. one Page shows all the rows, while the other Page group the rows based on the name and shows the Sum of the Total Time as follow:-
and i set the same filtering for both pages:-
now i want to add additional 2 pages that show and group (summarize) data from another endpoint and define a set of filters that work on the new pages only.. so can i define a set of filters to work only on a set of pages? If this is not possible then what i need to do?
Hi, @mvcsharepointde
Thanks for djurecicK2's reply. I think the way to solve this problem is to try to create a filter table and create a one-way relationship between that filter table and the other four tables (star schema).

@djurecicK2 But since the new 2 pages use different API endpoint so they use different filters and columns.. so not sure how i can handle this? So i need 4 pages, and 2 filter sets columns.. not sure how to implement this inside Power BI?
So now I have 2 pages which are using the same API and columns:-
So it is normal to use the same filters for both pages... but the 2 new pages which i want to add beside the exsisting 2 pages use different API end point and hence different columns.. so the current filters will not be valid for the 2 new pages.. did you get my exact question?
Ok, gotcha. You could try creating a separate lookup table and relate it to the 2 tables returned by the APIs, then filter on that lookup table.
@djurecicK2this will add an unneeded overhead, the 2 API endpoints are not realted to each other in anyway.... so again my question was; can i have 2 set of fitlers for 4 pages that use 2 separate APIs? if not then maybe creating 2 separate reports will be the way to go.. although i prefer to keep everything within the same report to ease avigating between the 4 pages that why i asked this question...
Hi @mvcsharepointde ,
You just have to use "Filters on this page" and make them the same for each page in the set. If you wanted to use slicers, then you could sync them only on the pages in each set.
