I download the usage statistics from PowerBI on a monthly basis (I use the old report not the new one as I find it more helpful).
On the usage metrics page it says that you can access the last 90 days of data and I have always found this to be the case, however I went to look this week and it is only giving me information for the previous 5 days. This is happening for all of my reports, not just the one pictured below.
Has anyone else experienced this and know how to fix the problem? Thanks!

Hi @CaitM ,
The Improved Usage Metrics report only includes reports opened in the last 30 days, whereas the previous version covered the last 90 days. If a report is not included in the Improved Usage Metrics report, it may not have been used for more than 30 days.

@CaitM ,
Did you check in case if there is any filter added to the report to restrict for last 5 days only.
If it is possible for Admin to delete the history, you may have to check on those lines as well with your tenant admin

Hi, thanks for the reply!
I checked the filters and there are no date filters enabled. I also went into the 'Explore data' function and that only allows me to see the data for 5 days (old version toggle) and 30 days (new version toggle).
I am the main admin user of the system so am not sure how someone would have been able to delete the history. It seems to be a continuous thing as when I've opened the report on different days the earliest date has shifted forward correspondingly
Hi @CaitM - Microsoft has been transitioning users to a new version of the usage metrics report. Although you mentioned preferring the old report, the new version may provide better stability and up-to-date functionality. Consider testing it out to see if it provides the complete 90-day view.
Power BI usage metrics showing data for only the last 5 days instead of the expected 90 days.
Power BI typically retains usage metrics data for the last 90 days. However, any recent changes or updates to Power BI or to your organization's settings could potentially impact data retention. Check with your Power BI administrator or Microsoft Support to confirm if there have been any policy updates affecting retention for usage metrics.
Dataset Refresh Issues: Sometimes, dataset refreshes for usage metrics reports may encounter issues. Try refreshing the report manually, or check if any refresh errors are being reported in the Power BI Service under Settings > Datasets for your usage metrics dataset.

Hi, thanks for the response 🙂
When I change to the new version I can see more data, however this is still only 30 days rather than the complete 90 days. I have checked the filters on the side and the only filter enabled is for the report code
