Hey All,
I have created my first publish, its very simple to allow us to see who has "picked" what items over a year period, with a few extras (time per item, items recorded missing) etc...
I was looking into seeing if i can just add new data, but keep everything the same it simply just updates as we add new stuff, but keeps all structures / graphs / relationships..
For example:
Jan 1 - Jan 31 Showing a bar chart... i now have Jan 1 - Feb 28 data.. I want to swap the data of Jan1-31 to become Jan1-Feb28 without having to create a new file/new relationships/new calender.
Ive followed a Data Source Settings guide to change the source to see if that works. unfortunately i am met with an error saying 'The key didnt match'.
If anyone could explain or point me in the right direction for essentially updating a data table with new data that still holds the same start date?
Thank you in advance!,
Lewis
Hello @LPEquestrian ,
Yes you can, just make sure it has the same table name and column name and it is case sensitive so also make sure it has the same capital or small letter as the old one.

I have just tried this, names for both files match exactly, removed the old source and followed the same steps replacing it, this time im not getting the error message, but its not updating to the new data at all. its still capping at 30-04-23 when it should be capping 08-05-23 on my slicer option.
go into power query and try to refresh the tables to see where is the error coming from and from which step.

Still not getting this.. il run you through what ive done.
All tables and titles are the same (case sensitive)
The main issue i see in Power Query is a navigation issue. saying it cant navigate.
So it seems like it either wont update the initial import to add the new data.
