Dear all,
I am trying to organize "inventory quantity by month" into a matrix visual, but it looks like the mapping of dates to Calendar is not right. Please see below screenshot for more.
Top visual: "Month" is taken from my Calendar table
Bottom visual: "Report Month" is taken from my inventory table
Why is the total quantity the same, but the monthly breakdown differ?
Appreciate any help possible!
FYI - this is the formula for my Calendar table,
Calendar = ADDCOLUMNS (CALENDAR(DATE(2017,07,01),DATE(2020,06,01)),"DateAsInteger",FORMAT([Date],"DDMMYYYY"),"Year",YEAR([Date]),
"Monthnumber", FORMAT ( [Date], "MM" ),
"YearMonthnumber", FORMAT ( [Date], "YYYY/MM" ),
"YearMonthShort", FORMAT ( [Date], "mmm/YYYY" ),
"MonthNameShort", FORMAT ( [Date], "mmm" ),
"MonthNameLong", FORMAT ( [Date], "mmmm" ),
"DayOfWeekNumber", WEEKDAY ( [Date] ),
"DayOfWeek", FORMAT ( [Date], "dddd" ),
"DayOfWeekShort", FORMAT ( [Date], "ddd" ),
"Quarter", "Q" & FORMAT ( [Date], "Q" ),
"YearQuarter", FORMAT ( [Date], "YYYY" ) & "/Q" & FORMAT ( [Date], "Q"))
Hi @appley922,
Can you share the file? You can delete most parts of the file and keep only the minimal amount that can show the issue. Please mask the sensitive parts.
I can't see the [Month] from the Calendar table.
Does the inventory table have more than one date column? Please try with the two date columns that connect the two tables.
Best Regards,
