So I am trying to get a calculation to display properly and I think my Measure is created correctly, but the way it is displaying is not correct. I have only added one month of data for the odometer in the Samsara- KB Data set for January 2025. In the attached PBIX, if you look at the Parts Dashboard, when you have it set to multiple months such as last 6 months, it is spreading the cost out amongst various months and it really should only be showing a value for January. I am not able to figure out where my settings are wrong for this.

Hi,
The reason is you dont have any realationship between your Date table and your "Samsara - KM" table. Hence date is not getting filtered out. Please add a relationship using date column.
Hope this helps to resolve your problem. If it does, please mark it as solution, thanks!
Your datetable should be able to filter your KM fact table once a relationship has been established but since there is no relationship between that and Shop Parts - Fleetio, you will see the same value at the category level in your matrix. See the cells highlighted in yellow.
Hi @ChrisAZ
There really isn't an active relationship between Samsara - KM and DateTable because you can't create one for them due to the direction of the relationship between Vehicle Info and Samsra - KM
Change the direction of the relationship then create the relationship.
Please note that at the category level, you will see the total for january since there is no relationship between Shop Parts - Fleetio and Samsara - KM
I was able to add the relationship to Date by changing the other one but it sounds like you are stating I still won't be able to see the data line up by the correct month? It is still showing data for January showing up as August, etc.

But I already do have a relationship on the date field between my date table and the Shop Parts table. Is there supposed to be something else as I thought that would be enough for it to make the connection.

So I had attempted to set this already and thought it was in place. I went back in and set it again, but after I click Save, it does not seem to save the relationship. Any idea why? I get no error.
