I am new to this blog. I have searched everywhere for a solution and cannot find one. My issue I need to calculate the Sum of dollar value for Current Fiscal year, Previous Fiscal Year and Future Fiscal Year. Here is aan example of my Calculation.
FY 19 $ Value = Calculate(Sum[Dollar Value],'Complete Data' [Fiscal Year] - 1)
Here are the values in the fiscal year column:
2017
2018
2019
2020
2021
2022
This does not work as the fiscal year column is a text field. When I convert to a whole Number the fiscal year calculation does not work.
Any help would be greaty appreciated. Please move this to the correct area as I cant figure out how to get this post there.

@Anonymous ,
Create three measures using dax below:
Previous Fiscal Year Total = CALCULATE(SUM('Complete Data'[Dollar Value]), FILTER('Complete Data', 'Complete Data'[Fiscal Year] = YEAR(TODAY()) - 1)) Current Fiscal Year Total = CALCULATE(SUM('Complete Data'[Dollar Value]), FILTER('Complete Data', 'Complete Data'[Fiscal Year] = YEAR(TODAY()))) Future Fiscal Year Total = CALCULATE(SUM('Complete Data'[Dollar Value]), FILTER('Complete Data', 'Complete Data'[Fiscal Year] = YEAR(TODAY()) + 1))
