Calculated Measure

Hi All,

I currently have a measure as per the below;

Hire Cost = SUMX( Job_card_detail_tbl, Job_card_detail_tbl[Daily Hire Cost] * LOOKUPVALUE( 'Standing Scaffold Data'[Hire Duration], 'Standing Scaffold Data'[TaskId], Job_card_detail_tbl[TaskId] ) )

This measure is multiplying the daily hire cost and hire duration. I want to put this into a slicer and be able to drag the visual to display different hire costs on a map visual but I understand Power Bi doesn't let you use measures in a slicer.

Any ideas on how to get around this?

Many thanks,

E

@Anonymous In general, to use a measure in that way, you need to use the Disconnected Table Trick as this article demonstrates: https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Community-Blog/Solving-Attendance-with-the-Disconnected-Table-Trick/ba-p/279563
