I have data that looks something the table below.
I have added a calculated column on this as follows:
| Client ID | Date of Birth |
| 1234 | 25/01/1998 |
| 3215 | 06/12/2005 |
even if all the columns used in the measure are from the same table?
It's a part of a large databse and when I remove columns to hide sensitive data it then starts working. I wonder if it;s something to do with my relationships? Unfortunately I can't find a way to give you an example pbix file without sensitive data.

I have used the same DAX of yours. It is working for me.
Check if you have selected any of the data?
Can you check if you have changed the Dateofbirth column to Date? I see, it might be existing as Text
yes it's data type is Date
