Calculate/Reference Max Y Axis Value to Create Shaded Area on Chart

Hi,

I have a need to put a line on a combo chart for a portion of the X axis (based on a range of values).

What I'm trying to figure out is, is it possible to calculate or reference the current MAX value on a Y axis?

This will change given the consumers interaction with filters and slicers so would need to change on the fly.

The end result I'm trying to get is a shaded area on a chart when it is outside a range of times. These times vary also.

Any help appreciated. I think a DAX or an M solution would work.

Regards,

Kim

I've come up with a workaround for my issue.

Since I can't reference the MAX of the Y axis, I calculated the MAX of the main values (blue/red bars) and added a little buffer.

I then added this to the table with the ranges in it.

    #"Added Custom5" = Table.AddColumn(#"Changed Type2", "Max", each
        try
        if [Value] = 1 then 0
        else
        List.Max(Table.SelectRows(CartInSummaryData, (x) => Value.Equals([Branch], x[Branch]))[MaxVolume]) / 0.9
        otherwise
        0),

I added this field to the combo chart as a line and formatted with 0 'stoke width' and 'shaded area' on.

Not the perfect solution but it will do for now.
