Hi Team,
I am using direct query as source to create my report and for testing its just 180 recods only which is present there in my testing server . My Cache memory fokder is getting filled again and again , due to this my C drive is getting filled and its giving me errors while refreshing the data and making my report really slow.
Is there anyway to sort this out?
Request to help on this .
Regards,
Ash

Hi @ashicool_10061 - Power BI Desktop's cache folder continuously filling up, leading to C drive space exhaustion and performance degradation, can be particularly frustrating. While DirectQuery is designed to minimize caching by querying the data source directly, certain factors can still lead to significant cache growth. you can check the Manually clear the cache folders.Optimize settings and reduce query load by minimizing visuals and simplifying DAX measures.Redirect the cache to another drive if necessary.Monitor disk usage regularly and consider switching to Import mode if feasible.Utilize aggregations to manage data more efficiently.Implementing these strategies should help manage the cache effectively, prevent your C drive from filling up, and improve the overall performance of your Power BI reports.

Hi @rajendraongole1 ,
Does that mean there is no way we can reduce it ? I cannot convert or chnage my mode to import as i need to show real time data and i am surprised just for 180 records its getting filled within a day and its in devlopment . I am not sure once i will deploy this in production there wil be miliion of records how its gonna work.
I will take your suggestions and i will check how can i reduce my visuals or dax calculations.
But thanks for your response.
Regards,
Ash
