Hi,

I tried to create a sample pbix file like below, and please check the below picture and the attached pbix file.

Current = SELECTEDMEASURE()

Previous_Month =
SUMX (
    VALUES ( 'calendar'[Year-Month] ),
    CALCULATE ( SELECTEDMEASURE (), PREVIOUSMONTH ( 'calendar'[Date] ) )
)

Month_Change =
SELECTEDMEASURE ()
    - SUMX (
        VALUES ( 'calendar'[Year-Month] ),
        CALCULATE ( SELECTEDMEASURE (), PREVIOUSMONTH ( 'calendar'[Date] ) )
    )

Hi @zraopingm,

I think your issue is based on your data model. Here I will give you some suggestion. You can try SUMX() to get correct subtotal by [MTH_CHANGE].

MTH_CHANGE(New) =
SUMX ( SUMMARIZE ( 'TableName', [Fiscal Year], [Year Month] ), [MTH_CHANGE] )

If this reply still couldn't help you solve your issue, please share a sample file with us and this will make it easier for us to find the solution.

Best Regards,
Rico Zhou

Thank you!!! it works!

Question: I tried to turn off subtotal from calculating items "current" and "previous mth" and only want to leave mth_change item with the total on..

I can understand why but at the same time, it is not super flexible.

thank you for your time

Zoey
