Hi All,
I would like to have some help with the following issue:
I have a dashboard and report in PBI Service.
These dashboard and report are created in PBI Desktop and later published.
I have some buttons attached in the report, which is sending users back to the home page.
However, when clicking, a new tab in the broswer appears.
Is there a way that you can click on a button and it will not open a new tab?
Has that something to do with my settings or whatsoever, or is a way to adjust that in PBI?
Hope you guys have the answer!
Kind Regards,
Alexander
Hi @Anonymous
How did you create the button?
When i create it as below (before, i set "home_page" as a bookmark)
After publishing to Service, Ctrl+click on it, it can navigate to the home page without opening an new tab.
Best Regards
Maggie

Hi Maggie,
No, I made the bookmark in PBI Desktop, via a Web URL.
In the pane you describe, I clicked Web URL, instead of Bookmark...
When clicking Web URL, it's opening a new tab.
However, perhaps your solution is the best by making bookmarks, instead of web URL's.
Kind regards,
Alexander
Hi @Anonymous
If i add a web url in this way, when clicking it in Service, it would open another page by default.
If you'd like some buttons to return back to home page inside power bi reports instead of any other web pages,
You could take advice of my first post.
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/desktop-bookmarks
If this problem is still not solved, please share more details with me, i want to make a test.
If it is sloved, could you kindly accept it as a solution to close this case?
Best Regards
Maggie
