Bug: PBI Field Map Visual won't load up
Noticed this starting last week that PBI Filled Map visual won't load in both desktop and online version - the map is completely blank, with no error message. Refresh browser won't fix it, however, if I close / reopen pbix file, it'd come back. For online version, it shows map sometimes, but not consistently. It is really strange. I think this is a bug needs to be fixed by MS.
Thanks

Hi QC ,
Do you mean filled map?
Is it running fine now? I tested the filled map and it runs fine.
The version of PBI Desktop I tested was 2.136.1202.0 64-bit and 2.132.1053.0 64-bit, the version of PBI Serivce was 13.0.24380.54.
Also try Options --> Diagnostics --> Select Bypass Geocode Cache --> OK.Best Regards,
Gao

Hi team, yes I meant FIlled Map, my app is Version: 2.136.1202.0 64-bit (September 2024). I just tested it again, same problem. Tried your suggestion as well.
You can see from screenshot below (taken from online), that the map is completely blank. It happens 2 out of 5 times, after a few refreshes it'd come back eventually, but still very annoying for our users. Could you help check if it is a bug?

Hi QC ,
I have not retrieved an issue with this error internally.
We recommend that you:
1. If your organization has Azure Maps visual enabled, try using it:
Create and use filled maps (choropleth maps) in Power BI - Power BI | Microsoft Learn2. You can also open a support ticket here and a follow-up engineer will contact you.
Best Regards,
Gao
