Bubble Map - Overlapping labels
Hi everyone, I need some help with bubble maps. I have data that are geographical close, so the labels overlap themselves.
There is somethig that I can do?

I dont think you can do much with overlapping labels in the map.
Maybe an option would be to reduce the text size of the labels.
But maps are dynamic where you can zoom in and out ... so if someone wants to see more labels then he can zoom to his desired area.

Hi themistoklis, I tried to change the size but is not enough, and the report will be a pdf, so the zoom won't be available.
Thank you for your answer

Also depends on the size of the visual. If the visual is part of a dahboard and the size is small then you will have a huge overlapping of labels.
Try to increase (if possible) the size of the visual in the report or dashboard that you want to convert to PDF. Hopefully this way you will see more labels (but not all)

Hi Betto ,
The only way I can think of is making the category label of smaller size. But, this may not be appropriate in every case, like the names would end up being very small. But, you can try few sizes which works best in your case.
Also, maps have a functionality to zoom out the area which makes these labels clearer and give a better view.
Thanks,

Hi Pragati11, I already tried to change the siza to bigger and also smaller but the situation doesn't improve, and the final report will be in pdf so the zoom feature would be useless.
Thank you for your answer

Hi Betto ,
In that case there is no other way to handle these overlapping lables in map visual.
If you want you can post an idea on forum: https://ideas.powerbi.com/ideas/

Hi Betto ,
According to your question, I think the feasible way is to adjust the label category size in Formatting.
If it still doesn’t work, you might as well take a lesson in the content of this blog, which may inspire you in another way.
If the problem is still not resolved, let me know immediately. Looking forward to your reply.
Best Regards,
Henry
