Yes, bookmarks in Power BI can capture the drill-down state of a visual, including the matrix visual. Here's how you can achieve your requirement:

Steps to Set Up Bookmarks for Different Drill-Down States

Set Up the Normal View (No Drill-Down):

Ensure your matrix visual is in the default state (no drill-down applied).

Go to the View tab and open the Bookmarks Pane.

Click Add Bookmark and rename it to Normal View.

Set Up the Drill-Down View (Row 5 Details):

Drill down into the matrix visual to show the specific row (e.g., row 5).

If row 5 contains further hierarchy levels, navigate to the required detail level.

Once the desired state is displayed, return to the Bookmarks Pane.

Click Add Bookmark and rename it to Drill-Down View.

Enable Bookmark Navigation:

Add buttons or shapes to your report for toggling views (e.g., "Normal View" and "Drill-Down View").

Select a button, go to the Format Button pane, and set Action to Bookmark.

Choose the corresponding bookmark (e.g., "Normal View" or "Drill-Down View").

Repeat for the other button.

Verify Bookmark Behavior:

Test your bookmarks by clicking the buttons to ensure the matrix switches between the default state and the drill-down view.

Key Notes

Include Data and Display State: While creating the bookmark, ensure the "Data" and "Display" options are checked in the Bookmarks Pane. This ensures the drill-down state and other filters are captured.

Avoid Interference: If the matrix visual's state changes dynamically (e.g., due to slicers or filters), the bookmark may not fully capture the state. Adjust your bookmarks accordingly.

This method allows you to toggle seamlessly between a high-level overview and a specific drill-down view, like row 5 details. Let me know if you need additional help!

Hi @govind_021
Please find the attached PBIX file.
Save the Bookmark before Drill Down, Say BOOKMARK1
Then Drill Down and save another bookmark, named as BOOKMARK2

Hi @govind_021 ,

I am very curious. After testing, PijushRoy's solution can solve your problem very well. Why do you say "but issue is not resolved"? What other problems did you encounter?
I hope you can explain the problem you encountered in detail through screenshots or other methods. If possible, please provide a pbix containing sample data and your expected result chart so that we can better understand the problem. Thank you!

Best Regards,
Dino Tao
