Hi
I need some help on fixing the blanks. Actually, i have two tables as Table A and Table B for college students swipe access pass data. Table A has the column names as First Name, Last Name, Reg. Number, Student Card Number, Card Holder ID, Date column and Month column. Reg. Number column in Table A has many blank values. Table B has columns as First Name, Last Name, Reg. Number and Department Name. The only purpose for me to join the two tables is for filtering the data by Department, which is in Table B. The count of total rows in Table A is e.g. 1 million and on Table B there is the count of 7,50,000.
When i try to join the two tables by Reg. Number and bring the Month column in Rows on the Bar-Chart for X axis and do the count of Date from the date column on Y axis in columns and put the Department in legends, it shows lots of blanks for each month as well for the total.
I also tried to concatenate the first name & last name from two different columns to one similarly in both Table A and Table B and did the relationship between the two tables on same concatenated columns and did the count of that instead of the Date column on Y axis in columns, it showed the same blank values coming up.
In short, whichever way i try to create the relationship between the two tables it gives the blank values on the visual possibly due to the missing values in Table B, which are otherwise present on Table A.
Can someone please help in getting rid of these blank values or is there any possible way of doing the count of enteries of the students into the college without showing the count of blanks, although the data is not clean enough.
Help on this will be appreciated.
Thanks
