Better spacing between columns in Column chart
dpc_development you need to change the x-axis type to "Categorical" from "Continuous" on the formatting pane.

dpc_development although you already tried it, when you are using number and date columns on the x-axis and type is continuous it automatically distributes the data points in the width of the visual. I don't see there is any other way to adjust it except what Pragati11 suggested.
