Hi Power BI community
How do you write documentation for your code? Can you use co-pilot or another AI? Or do you have another smart way to write documentation?
All ideas and help is greatly appreciated. 🙂
Hi @ThomasWeppler, You can use DAX Query View and TMDL View along with AI tools/ GPT to create documentations.
DAX query view can be used to write dax query for all existing measures in your report which you can copy and paste to gpt to convert it into documentation.
Same goes for TMDL View, you can generate TMDL script for your semantic model and use it to convert into documentation with AI.

Does anyone else use some specific tools to write documentation for end users?
Is their any videos or guides that can help me learn about this?
Should I upload my PowerBi report to chatgpt to use?
Or how does it work very specifically?
Thanks for the reply from Akash_Varuna.
Hi @ThomasWeppler ,
At present, ChatGPT does not facilitate the direct uploading of Power BI reports for analysis. Nevertheless, ChatGPT can be accessed via API to generate dynamic text or respond to queries.
