Hello,
With my 3 separate data sets below, I am looking to connect them together so I may create a waterfall chart where it would show the categories but would also allow for data slicers using dates, org level 1 and org level 2.
They are all very similar with the exception of table 1 which does not have any date columns. I am able to create a new column and add in when the employee started or I can simply input 12/31/2018 for everyone.
After adding in dates for table 1, I was going to create a calendar table as a way to connect all three tables but then I was stuck on how I would be able to pull this together for the waterfall, so I was thinking it maybe easier to simply merge all three data sets together. Would that be the best approach?
Am I missing another method to make this work?
Hi @mariner84
I need to know the relationship among table 1 and other tables.
As i know, table 2 shows employees' hired date, table 3 shows term date.
What is the realistic meaning of table 1?
Do you want to show the numbers of employees in a company during a data range with the waterfall visual?
Best Regards
Maggie

Table 1 is essentially the list of employees who were still at the company at the end of 2018.
Table 2 is the hires this year and Table 3 is the exits so far.
Below is a quick example I just created to get an idea of what it would like look with data slicers if possible.
Yes, I just want to show the rise and fall, with the ability to use data slicers using my org levels and also dates if possible.
Thank you for responding to my request!
