I'm tyring to create a calculated column that will generate a yes / no.
(Not actual data or names used)
The column "Permission Issued (code)" has options A, B, C, No, n/a. I want the new column (Permissed Issued (Y/N) to say "Yes" for A B, C, "No" for no, and not count or just carry over n/a for rows that have n/a.
I've already created a measure Permits Required = CALCULATE(COUNTROWS(Table1),Table1[Permit required (yes/no)]="Yes")
Happy to provide more details!

A switch statement might also be worth considering:
= SWITCH( [Permission Issued (code)], "No","No", "n/a","n/a", "Yes" )
Thanks every one! I guess I was just overthinking it!
create a calcualted column with an IF statement
=IF([Permission Issued (code)]="No","No", IF([Permission Issued (code)]="n/a","n/a","Yes")
A switch statement might also be worth considering:
= SWITCH( [Permission Issued (code)], "No","No", "n/a","n/a", "Yes" )
Switch is probably easier than the IF statement
