Azure SQL Not updating charts

Hi

I have like 20 charts based on a Azure database

Every night I upload 200.000+ rows, these data is not updated automaticly.

I have got to "report" press f5 and chart refresh, but this does not refresh on dashboard, I now have to remove and add report..

I can not tell PowerBI to updated data, hence this is a azure database and there is no data i model

What should I do?

In Power BI Desktop:

Press Refresh → updates all visuals.

Save & republish to Power BI Service to update dashboards.

In Power BI Service (Online):

Set up Scheduled Refresh for your dataset:

Go to dataset settings → Scheduled refresh → configure frequency and credentials.

Power BI will automatically pull new rows from Azure SQL.

DirectQuery mode:

If your dataset is in DirectQuery mode, visuals query the database live → charts reflect the latest data without manual refresh.

If using Import mode, Power BI caches data → you must refresh to see new rows.

👉 Best practice: For nightly uploads, use Scheduled Refresh or DirectQuery depending on performance and data size.
