Hi,
Our report is pulling data from Azure SQL database, i am using Direct Query mode.
Report is working fine, but when published report is asking for Gateway connection.
For Azure SQL database do we need to setup gateway for Azure databases.
Not sure please suggest the steps to resolve this

Hi @nagaraj ,
When using DirectQuery with an Azure SQL Database and a private IP address, an on-premises gateway is required. You could reference the document: Important considerations when using DirectQuery to learn more.
Please add the data source into gateway and map to it in dataset settings to try again.
For more details about gateways, please take a look at the documents.
