I have a matrix with three months of data (that'll increase over time). What i am trying to do is have the total column be an average instead of a sum. One of the reasons i am looking at this, is so i can sort the "Variance" column and that be like a ranking of my data, by average.
Thanks!

Hey @analyst312
I recommend reading this article about working with aggregates in Power BI: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/service-aggregates
And then this thread where someone accomplished this in an easy, though slightly round about way: https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Desktop/How-to-change-total-column-sum-to-average-in-matrix/td-p/61...
If this helps please kudo.
If this solves your problem please accept it as a solution.
This looks like a measure totals problem. Very common. See my post about it here: https://community.powerbi.com/t5/DAX-Commands-and-Tips/Dealing-with-Measure-Totals/td-p/63376
