(Average) Applications per Job Requisition

Hello,

I have two tables with these columns and I want to calculate the (average) number of applicants per requisition/divison/company etc. (I will do this via filter in the dashboard):

REQ Report

ID	Status	Open date	closed date
123456	Open	15.05.2024
123455	Closed	15.01.2024	15.03.2024

CANDIDATE Report

ID	Status	Open date	closed date	candidate id	application date
123456	Open	15.05.2024		123456789	16.05.2024
123455	Closed	15.01.2024	15.03.2024	14567809	15.01.2024

Hi @checkner ,

Ensure that your REQ and CANDIDATE tables are correctly related in your Power BI model. Typically, this would be through the field.

and then you can create a measure:

Applicants Count = COUNTROWS('CANDIDATE')

Next, create a measure to calculate the average number of applicants per requisition. This measure will use the previously created measure

Average Applicants = AVERAGEX(VALUES('REQ'[ReportID]), [Applicants Count])
