(Average) Applications per Job Requisition

Hello,

I have two tables with these columns and I want to calculate the (average) number of applicants per requisition/divison/company etc. (I will do this via filter in the dashboard):

REQ Report

IDStatusOpen dateclosed date
123456Open15.05.2024
123455Closed15.01.202415.03.2024

CANDIDATE Report

IDStatusOpen dateclosed datecandidate idapplication date
123456Open15.05.2024 12345678916.05.2024
123455Closed15.01.202415.03.20241456780915.01.2024

Hi @checkner ,

Ensure that your REQ and CANDIDATE tables are correctly related in your Power BI model. Typically, this would be through the field.

and then you can create a measure:

Applicants Count = COUNTROWS('CANDIDATE')

Next, create a measure to calculate the average number of applicants per requisition. This measure will use the previously created measure

Average Applicants = AVERAGEX(VALUES('REQ'[ReportID]), [Applicants Count])

Best Regards,

Xianda Tang
