Automatic updating of power bi from microsoft store

Hello,

I understand power bi updates automatically if downloaded from the microsoft store. I've just downloaded and see that it's the september version, but I understand there has been at least a november release since then. Please can anybody clarify? Do I need to do something, or will it take a while to update (does it not check for updates every time I open it?)?

Thank you, please do you know if Microsoft ever skip monthly releases on the automatic updates? I've had 2-3 cases where I've had to revert to a previous release of power bi because there has been a bug in a particular month's release. I was wondering if Microsoft is holding back the automatic updates until they know there are no bugs reported by the community? In which I was wondering if they would skip a month's release if it has a bug? Has anybody noticed that happening?

Yes, Power BI updates automatically if you downloaded it from the Microsoft Store. However, updates may not be immediately available when they are released. This is because Microsoft rolls out updates gradually, so it may take some time before the latest update is available to you. If you want to check if there are any updates available for Power BI, you can go to the Microsoft Store and check for updates. To do this, follow these steps:

• 1 Open the Microsoft Store on your computer.
• 2 Click on the "..." menu in the top-right corner of the screen.
• 3 Click on "Downloads and updates" from the menu that appears.
• 4 Click on "Check for updates" to see if there are any updates available for Power BI.

If there are updates available, they will be downloaded and installed automatically. Power BI will automatically check for updates every time you open the app, so you don't have to do anything else to keep it up to date.
