Automatic change of date granularity on the x-axis based on slicer selection

Hello,

I'm working on a project where I need an x-axis to adjust it's granularity depending on slicer selection.

I'm not sure if Power BI supports this feature, but I need the following:

Skærmbillede 2024-08-16 082431.png

If something is selected in the "Year"-slicer, then the x-axis should show month-by-month in that given year.

If something is selected in the "Month"-slicer, then the x-axis should show day-by-day.

I know this can be done with an additional field parameters slicer, but this is not ideal, as it doesn't happen automatically for the user.

TIA,

Ludvig Reck

Hi @ludvigreck ,

As Idrissshatila said, field parameters are currently the best way to go.

Best regards,

Hello @ludvigreck ,

I don't know another way other than field parameters.
