Automatic Refresh not displayed

I have a report I have built that is connected to a database through sql server.  I am trying to establish and automatic refresh that would refresh on a schedule.  I have read some articles and watch...

    Hi Dane 

    If you want to refresh in Service ,please refer to my reply above .

    In Desktop , you can refresh in two place .

    (1) Manual refresh in Desktop

    (2) Place your mouse on the page, not on the visual, and then you can see the refresh setting in the Format settings. For specific operations, please refer to this link below .

If you want to schedule an update for your PBI dataset you have to do so in the Power BI Service. But before you do so you have to install the PBI gateway. Check out this info on how to do so.

Afterwards you have to go to the Power BI service and select the "Schedule refresh" option on your published dataset. Check out this info on how to do it:
