Auto refresh dashboards using virtual machine
Hi,
I have some dashboards that use the CCO insights template on GH and I am trying to set up a scheduled refresh for them. They cannot be refreshed in PBI service due to the data sources it is using which are not supported online.
I am trying to use a virtual machine and task scheduler to refresh these daily with little manual intervention, but the scheduled task can only take place once the VM is logged into.
I'm using a python script to open and refresh the dashboards and then publish them to a specific workspace.
I was wondering if anyone has tried something similar to this and if there is a way to refresh the dashboards in the background of a disconnected vm.

Hi amitchandak thank you for this suggestion.
Would you know if REST APIs work with dashboards that use dynamic data sources? This is the reason we cannot schedule refreshes in the online service.
