Auto Refresh from SharePoint folder

Hello all,

I have SahrePoint folder where are overnight genearted my AuditLogs.

How I should set up my file that Schedule Refresh will pick up new file and merge with exisitng dataset?

I know how to merge two csv files in PBI desktop but I don't know how to schedule that.

Many thanks in advance.

Andrej

Hi @AndrejZitnay ,

"How I should set up my file that Schedule Refresh will pick up new file and merge with exisitng dataset?"

It's very easy to achieve, you just need to refresh the data.

First , I import and merge 3 files named "log1", "log2", "log3" with "SharePoint folder" connector.

Second, I upload "log4" file to SharePoint site and refresh all in "Edit Queries".

As you can see, when new files with the same structure are added to the SharePoint site, Power BI will automatically merge them for you when you refresh.

Also you can’t seem to connect to SharePoint, first, choose "File"-> “Options and settings” -> "Data source settings" -> "Clear Permissions" to clear the data source, then reconnect using the URL as @mwegener  said.

Hello @mwegener ,

that should work.

I am just fighting with right folder/libray.

I have created library for my AuditLogs but I can't access it.

I am able to access site and all files there but that not what I need to merge.

Can you advice what I am doing wrong?

Hi @AndrejZitnay ,

I think you have to use the following format.

https://<<sharepoint site root url>>/sites/<<group name, sub site name or teams site name>>/

...

https://<<sharepoint site root url>>/sites/DataAnalystUnit/
