Auto Refresh disabled. Data source credentials missing

I am trying to set up a report to auto refresh but I am unable to.

The settings page shows the unknown.png

My data comes from a sharepoint site

Where should I go to fill in these misisng credentials.

A Gateway is not an option for me, I just need to know where I can add the missing credentials

@Anonymous That's the problem, if you have a local Excel file you need a Power BI gateway and then you can set the credentials, but the 2nd one is working coz the file is in the cloud and no gateway is required.

@Anonymous So something is going on there. Is this excel file on-prem or in cloud?

@Anonymous Are you sure there is only one data source in your dataset and that's sharepoint? Just confirming.

HI all, I have the same issue. Please note the dataset credentials is inactive so we cant simply go there and update. Could you advise where else we can update this?

You go to the data source settings, then you go to Data Source Credential and click on "Edit Credentials" in this case I have two connections, you enter your authentication and that's it.

Correct data is only coming from sharepoint

Hello, the same thing happened to me when I added to my data model an excel (local) file as an additional source. That generated the same error as the one to show and the only way to solve it was to eliminate the excel from the model.

Regards.-

Hi @airwreck ,

Has your problem been solved?

You check whether the data source has changed, such as the data file has been deleted.

Because Power BI Service will read your connection information and generate data source credentials, you cannot manually configure data source credentials if your data source is deleted.

If the data source has not changed, try to refresh the .pbix file in PBI Desktop, If it can, please publish the .pbix file again.

Best regards,
Lionel Chen

None of the suggestions have solved my problem. Power BI service won't allow me to change the Data source credentials. I tried to update everything in Power BI Desktop, and still nothing has helped. Absolutely nothing has changed with my SharePoint data source.
