I have some of the large titles like
-> Ahmeda boxing champion trust Rocking - ABCTR
And they are probably around 20 and this field is used as filter almost everywhere so I want to assign short name in that way such that everywhere there is consistency .
Can anyone suggest a most efficient way to do this operation
Hi @dshah12,
Can you please share a pbix or some dummy data that keep the raw data structure with expected results? It should help us clarify your scenario and test to coding formula.

Hi @dshah12 ,
If I understand what you are trying to do, please go to Power Query and create a conditional column in your table.
It would be something like this: If naming column = blah blah blah, then bbb. Then your short names stay the same, and only the long ones would change. Or if what you are showing is after the dash "ABCTR" what you want to show, you can split the column by the dash.
Let me know if you have any questions.
If this solves your issues, please mark it as the solution, so that others can find it easily. Kudos 👍are nice too.
