Apply filter based on user selection in first page across pages and store selection for calculations

Hello, 

I am bulding a report to view the values at different times of items in the inventory, I have the data arranged in a way where every entry has A Date,Quantity,Value and some other eronious columns. 

I would like to have a used enter or choose and enter 2 months in the format month-year (MMM-YY), then all the subsequent pages are filtered based on those 2 months.

Most of my metrics will be calculated like the difference in quantity between a certain item in those 2 months but some will also be summed, like the sum of all the inventory value for a the start or end month.

I have tried using parameters but I dont think i fully understand them if someone can give me a hint or first step into how I would get this done I would be greatful.

Here's an example of what i want to achive.

The way data here was order in a way where there where 2 columns for quantity and value one for prior and one for current which made it easier, I am trying to achive a similar effect with the data with a column detecated to date instead any help would be greatly appreciated :).

To better understand the problem and help you, can you provide sample data and your expected results? How to provide sample data in the Power BI Forum - Microsoft Fabric Community . Or show it as a screenshot or pbix.
