Apply Slicer selection to multiple tabs in report

Hello,

Is there a way to aplly slicer selections to multiple tabs in the report? All I'm seeing is to add a report level filter, but that is not working for me. I need to user to select their slicer value (for example product type), and have the map and pie charts on another tab to reflect those selections. Rather than having multiple slicers on every tab.

Responses are greatly appreciated.

In the version 2.110.1161.0 (October 2022) it is possible to apply a filter to different tabs. Goes to view and "Sync Slicers". Hope it will help you.

@csteves,

What issue do you have when you use report level filter?

Regards,

When setting the report level filter, it restricts what can be filtered. I need options in the slicer for users to select, and then have that selection be transferred to other tabs.

For example, I have a hierarchy slicer with product categories and specific products (under the dropdown of product categories). I'd like for the user to select from those options and then have that transfer to another tab where I have a map. When I use the report filter, it asks for me to select one option, which does not allow the users to select what they want.

@csteves,

Currently, it is not possible to apply slicer selection to multiple report pages in report. However, an idea about this issue has been submitted in the following link, and the idea is under review, please vote it up.

If it is a calendar slicer, you must have a calendar table shared across all dimensions.

Unfortunately I think the only way to do this is to copy and poaste the slicer to each tab. If you find another way please tag me in the reply as I'd love to know!
