Appending on Incrementally Refreshed Table

I have a large fact table that I incrementally refresh. I'm now being forced to append data at the end of that query from a table that doesnt incrementally refresh.

The issue I have is, when refreshing in desktop, the numbers are fine, but once in service, the appended data starts to duplicate.

I tried changing the append so it happens in a UNION in dax rather than powerquery, but im still seeing the same behaviour. Has anyone ever experienced this? And if so, please tell me you have a solution.

Hi @joeparkinson ,

Based on the description, try to use a distinct function to ensure no duplicate data are being introduced.

What’s more, check incremental refresh policy on the fact table is correctly configured.
