Annik Tachometer

Hi all,

I'm using the Annik Tachometer in my powerBI report. The data i'm using is in thousands. The seperator for thousands in this visual is a comma. I would like to use a point instead.  Is this possible at all or is this an impossible option for this visual?

Thanks in advance!

I don't know this particular visual, but you could createa custom measure to divide by 1000 to force the decimal point if it allows decimals and make it look like the separator?

@ckleppe , dot(point) in place of the comma is the regional setting and will be applied everywhere else.

You can divide by 1000 and create a number as per your need

Hi, i think I have the same problem. How did you solve yours? I have the german regional settings (Windows & PowerBI) - I'd expect instead e.g. of 2.666 (Tacho) this: 2,666 or instead of 2,8K (tacho) this 2.8 Tsd. I think its a bug of the visual. Furthermore the annik inc support link is dead. How can someone publish a visual that its not capable to take over the reginal settings?? Regards

Hi @salvo7890,

Yes, it is indeed an error in the visual. You can fix this problem by making a measure and divide the number by 1000. So basically you will have a decimal number.

Camiel

Hi Thanks for your answer.

But if I divide by 1000 then e.g. 2.666 (what is shown on the tacho - correct german format would be 2,666) i would receive 0.002666 so how does this help?

Let alone the wrong units: E.g. if I want to show 5000 I want it to be 5Tsd (correct unit according to my german regional settings) and not 5K.

Does this company who designed that tacho still exist?

Regards Sven

Hi @Anonymous ,

I thought your number was a number in thousands. In your case you need to multiply x1000 for fixing it?

The problem with Tsd and K is not fixable. I think this is a Power BI standard.

I have no clue if the company who made this visual is this existing, the only reason i'm using this one is because it looks good, the technical functions are unfortenately not perfect...

Regards,

Camiel
