Hey everybody!
I am very new to Power BI, so please forgive my lack of knowledge.
While analyzing our production costs I stubled upon Power BI and created a Dashboard which helps me doing so. Here I found the option of explaining the increase/decrease, when right clicking my graph and selecting "analyze". The problem: It does not work for me
I have a chart which shows me the sum of all production costs -> "Summe FK"
The visual that shows me the graph of this sum has the following input:
In general I have the data about the different production costs, such as "MGK" or "Material Dritte". They all get summed up in "Summe FK" so I have the overall production costs. Now I want Power BI to show me for instance "The increase of 10% between 2019 and 2020 in Summe FK consists of an increase of 12% in MGK and 15% in Material Dritte".
I have tried all different kinds of approaches, such as loading all the different costs in the drillthrough or secondary data fields. No success. I tried to kind of copy the approach of the official Retail Analysis Sample Dashboard by Power BI. Here it works fine for me, so it can't be due to my installation. It must have something to do with the data. I have the feeling that Power BI, although I have all the costs in in the sum, does not recognize the connection between "Summe FK" and the different costs.
Does anybody have an idea on how I can fix it, so it will explain the increase/decrease to me?
Thank you so much in advance!

Hi @Anonymous ,
As @lbendlin said, if your data is not enough to support the engine to complete the analysis, this will happen.
Or you can try to use Q&A feature. If this feature still does not help you, please share the sample data and expected output (or a sample .pbix file), we will help you use DAX to create the indicator you need.
Best regards,
Lionel Chen

The engine either didn't have enough data (below statistical significance level) or your data is not of a sufficient cardinality.
